PP (polypropylene)
PP labels stand out for their strength, durability, flexibility and light weight.
Matte, glossy or satin PP labels?
It will depend on the application, but broadly speaking, matte PP labels offer a more natural look, better readability, less glare and less fingerprinting.
On the other hand, glossy ones have a more vibrant appearance, have an extra coating that offers greater resistance to water and wear, and are easier to clean.
Satin finishes offer a happy medium. They provide moderate brightness and a soft feel, offering perfect visual balance. Thanks to their versatility, they are suitable for beverage containers as well as cosmetics and personal care products.
Matte PP for food products
Our matte PP complies with EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food safety regulations.
Matte PP for chemicals
PP matte solutions are manufactured to follow the international GHS (Globally Harmonized System) labeling and classification system for chemicals; as well as CLP (Classification, Labeling and Packaging),
- Resistant to moisture and contact with liquids
- Withstand UV rays
- Offer durability against abrasion, wear, fading or other physical damage
- Suitable for curved and irregular surfaces and for flexible containers
- PP labels allow for crisp, high-quality printing
- Lightweight and suitable for weight-sensitive products
Did you know that...
The EU 10/2011 regulation guarantees that plastic materials do not release harmful substances into food. In addition, FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 regulates the use of polymers (polyethylenes and polypropylenes).
The GHS (Globally Harmonized System) is a UN system that unifies the classification and labeling of chemicals worldwide.
CLP (Classification, Labeling and Packaging) is the European regulation based on GHS.
Both require labels to include: hazard pictograms, risk and precautionary statements, product and supplier data.
Polypropylene is recyclable and, consequently, can facilitate the recycling of the containers in which it is applied.
